About University of Agriculture

University of Agriculture in Krakow is the only agricultural university in Poland. The history of the university started in 1890 when it was the part of the Jagiellonian University where agricultural and forest sciences developed. Nowadays, the structure of the University of Agriculture consists of 7 faculties and a scientific veterinary center UJ-UR, which is held in cooperation with the Jagiellonian University. Educational proposal of the university is represented by programs taught in Polish and English in 32 areas of study. More than 1400 people work in the university including more than 100 professors. More than 13000 students study on stationary and extramural forms of study. Agricultural University trains specialists in the following areas: agriculture, forestry, biology, animal sciences, veterinary, environmental protection, biotechnology, environmental engineering, food technology, mechanical engineering, economics, and management. Approximately 3000 of new students enter the university every year. University of Agriculture in Krakow offers its students ERASMUS and CEEPUS exchange programs providing the possibility to acquire valuable experience.

University of Agriculture has 3 campuses close to the center of Krakow, 4 modern dormitories with the overall number of 1560 places, a library as well as canteens providing favorable conditions for science and residence of students. The university is constantly being upgraded.

Agricultural University in Krakow is a combination of traditions and modernity, which guarantees an intellectual development and increases the chances of graduates on the labor market.
