<strong>Course description:</strong> The Polish-Japanese Academy of Information Technology offers annual courses in Polish or English language studies. In addition, the university also provides an “Art Foundation Year”.

<strong>The language preparatory course in Polish or English at PJATK</strong> lasts two semesters and is delivered in an intensive study format. Throughout the course, students systematically develop all language competencies required for further university studies. Particular emphasis is placed on the practical use of language in an academic environment, including working with academic texts, academic writing, speaking skills, listening comprehension, as well as preparation for the university format of classes and examinations. The programme includes not only intensive general language learning, but also elements of specialised language necessary for understanding academic lectures and functioning in a university environment. The English language course prepares students for the IELTS exam and obtaining the corresponding certificate, while the Polish language course prepares for the state exams NAWA or TELC.

<strong>The “Art Foundation Year” at the Polish-Japanese Academy of Information Technology in Warsaw</strong> is a specialised programme designed for candidates who wish to develop their skills and prepare for studies in the field of art and design. The programme enables preparation for the entrance examination and the development of both digital and traditional portfolios under the guidance of experienced lecturers. The course combines traditional techniques such as drawing and painting with digital skills. In addition, it includes classes in art history, communication, and English language. The Art Foundation Year at PJATK in Warsaw lasts two semesters and comprises 420 academic hours. The programme includes high-intensity classes and assignments, as well as lectures by internationally recognised designers and specialists. Regular classes are held in the evenings from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday to Friday. From time to time, outdoor workshops and weekend painting sessions are organised.
