Ukraine, the USA, or Poland, it does not matter in which country you are studying; education at the university it is not only lectures, notes, and session, but also new acquaintances, friends, and adventures. So, let’s have a look how the usual day of student in Poland look like.
7.00 – 7.30 The alarm clock for every 5 minutes ruthlessly reminds that it is high time to wake up. The thought not to come to the boring lecture appears in mind, but as the attendance has an influence on final grade, student gets up and quickly gather to the university.
8.00 – 8.15 Student is running on the universities corridors, trying to recall in which room the class will be. Finally, the room is found, so now there is the mission to unnoticeably get to the room. Usually, such things do not work, so student quickly say something like „I am sorry, I am late, because of the bus” or „Was studying the whole night and overslept”. And now, it is 2,5 hours of fighting with tiredness: half an hour of lecture, half an hour of sleep.
10.30 – 10.45 Oh, finally it’s break! Student quickly runs to the coffee machine, because only coffee will help to survive at the next class.
10.45 – 13.45 Class from economics? -no, from management! Teacher is serious, so will be impossible to message the friends. 2,5 hours and here is the big break! No breakfast in the morning, so the canteen is highly needed now. Hungry student – angry student! So: soup, potato with meatballs, sandwiches… so hard to choose. A big sandwich with ham and cheese is a good variant. Not expensive and will be enough till evening.
13.45 – 16.15 Whaaat ? Test from microeconomics? Today? Shocked student sit down and try to answer the questions: a, c, c, b, a, a, b…Something was known, something was guessed.
16.15 – 16.45 Finally, this hard day is finished. Student hurries up to get home, because now will be the most pleasant – spending time with friends.
20.00 Music, alcohol, friends. Talks about politics, sport, music, literature, oh, there is no ending.
02.00 Only now gets in bed. 02.00 on the clock equal 5 hours of sleep and the balance of income and expenses is still in the head:
Coffee – 2.5 zł,
Sandwich -5 zł,
Xero -2 zł,
Kebab – 9 zł,
Beer – 6 * 4 = 24 zł,
To sum up, 42,5 zł, this is the sum, which will definitely have an influence on student’s budget.
Income: the experience of being a student is priceless!
That is how the typical day from student’s life in Poland looks like. Enjoy this period, but do not forget about the education. Try to combine the pleasant with the useful!
