MYTHS OF STUDYING IN POLAND

Today, a many of students from different countries have completed their studies or are still studying in Poland. Accordingly, each of them, their parents had their own opinion about studying in Poland. Let’s bust the top myths about studying in Poland.

Private university worse than state

This is probably the most common myth about studying in Poland. Private universities in Poland are educational institutions with a good reputation, a strong teaching staff, a modern technical base and, what is very important, the studying is based on practice! The educational programs of many private universities are much stronger and in no way inferior to the state ones. We will not deny that there are “weak” private universities, so be sure to check the university rankings.

Hight Education in Poland is expensive

The price range of Polish higher education is diverse! Poland offers options for both a budget student and for someone who has no particular financial constraints. In short, prices start at 800 euros per year, with an average price of around 1,500-2,000 euros. In addition, scholarship and grants are available for international students without tuition fees.

In Polish universities few lecture hours

lectures in most universities in Poland are held four days a week. Why is that? One day is intended for self-study, going to the library, writing an essay or preparing a project. In addition, a few days of classes may be from morning to late evening, and several – one or two couples. In any case, before entering the candidate can get acquainted with the subjects, the number of lectures in each semester.

It’s hard for foreigners to find a job in Poland

The main thing is desire! Many foreign students still work while studying, and what’s important is by their profession. In addition, each university provides assistance in finding practices or internships for its students, which can be a good start to a career. One of the bonuses for foreigners after completing full-time education is that they do not need a work permit. And the second – after graduation, the graduate is given a legal stay in Poland to find work. So whoever wants to – he finds a job without difficulty, so whoever hopes that he will be lucky without doing anything – it will be difficult.
